SuperComp Forged Billet Aluminum Caliper Kit

Designed with advanced brake technology, this kit significantly reduces brake fade and continuously cools and refreshes the brake pad surface during braking. These systems are intended for straightforward installation with minimal tools required in most applications. The SuperComp caliper is an extreme lightweight, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, and features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. Each caliper weighs just over 7 lbs and includes protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features across all caliper designs include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over the OEM setup, and the included stainless-steel brake lines minimize expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, each SuperComp caliper requires four brake pads. This kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating disc design mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing warping or cupping of the braking surface. The rotors feature a unique slot design to reduce noise and expel gas and pad debris efficiently. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced prior to shipment. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. The kit comes standard with Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance in street and occasional track conditions, or an optional upgrade to Ksport RC5 Race Pads, which are carbon metallic and intended for extreme track conditions. Note that race pads are not recommended for street use due to their high operating temperature requirements. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, improving pedal feel and response. Ksport SuperComp Big Brake Kits are made to order and are non-refundable.
