SuperComp Forged Billet Aluminum Front Brake Kit

The Ksport SuperComp Big Brake Kit is engineered for the rear of the BMW E36 M3, offering a significant upgrade in stopping power and performance. The heart of this kit is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality 6061-T6 billet aluminum. It features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons for increased clamping force compared to ProComp calipers, weighing just over 7lbs each. The caliper design includes machined protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while the included stainless-steel brake lines resist expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, each unit utilizes four brake pads. The SuperComp systems feature a 2-piece floating disc assembly, available in 400mm (15.7-inch) diameter with a 36mm thickness. This design reduces both rotating and unsprung weight and prevents thermal stresses from warping the disc. The rotors are available in cross-drilled or slotted configurations. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. Both rotor types offer increased bite and continuously refresh the pad surface. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Carbon steel caliper brackets, CNC machined to fit the OEM caliper location, are included, along with D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines for improved pedal feel and quicker response. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, crafted from NAOC ceramic material, designed for optimal performance between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads offer reduced brake dust (by 50% or more), noise, and rotor wear compared to race pads, with an average coefficient of friction between .46 and .53. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) are available for extreme track conditions, with optimal operating temperatures between 482°F – 1472°F, and are not recommended for street use. The kit is made to order, and custom caliper colors are available, including Ksport Orange, Race Red, Caution Yellow, Jet Black, Bold Blue, and premium finishes like Lightning Silver, High Silver Polish, High Gold Polish, Titanium, Glassy Green, Glassy Blue, Glassy Orange, Glassy Red, Glassy Black, and Hard Anodized Black, some with additional charges. Center bell upgrades are also available, including Titanium or Twin Color Anodized options. All Ksport big brake kits come with a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects.
