SuperComp Forged Billet Aluminum Opposed Piston Caliper

The extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum and features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons for superior braking. Standard components include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design maximizes pad wear and caliper rigidity, complemented by stainless-steel braided brake lines that resist expansion under pressure for improved pedal feel and quicker response. Each SuperComp caliper requires four brake pads due to its substantial size. This kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces rotating and unsprung weight while preventing thermal stresses from causing disc warping or surface cupping. The unique rotor slot design minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Customers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driving due to cooler operation, or slotted rotors, preferred for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance in street and occasional track conditions with an average coefficient of friction between 0.46 and 0.53. Alternatively, RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) can be selected for extreme track conditions, though they are not recommended for street use due to their high optimal operating temperature range. This kit is made to order and non-refundable. It is specifically designed for the BMW 7 Series E65 models from 2002-2008, including the 745i (N62 4.4L), 750i (N62 4.8L), and 760Li (N73 6.0L).
