The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver superior stopping power for your BMW E39 M5. This advanced brake system incorporates cutting-edge technology to minimize brake fade and ensure consistent pad performance under demanding conditions. The SuperComp caliper is a forged, aircraft-quality billet aluminum component that weighs just over 7lbs. It features differential bore configurations, larger pistons, and aluminum pistons with high-temperature seals. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each caliper requires four brake pads due to its substantial size. This kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces rotating and unsprung weight and prevents thermal stress from causing disc warping. The unique slot design on the rotors aids in noise reduction and expels gas and pad debris efficiently. Standard configuration includes cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler operation. For vehicles with more track use, slotted rotors are available. KSport offers SC5 Street Pads, made from NAOC ceramic, for optimal performance in street and occasional track conditions with reduced dust and noise. Alternatively, RC5 Race Pads, a carbon metallic compound, are available for extreme track use, though not recommended for street driving due to their high optimal operating temperature range.
