Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide ultimate stopping power for your BMW E85/E86 Z4 M. This advanced braking system integrates new brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continually cool and refresh the brake pad surface during braking. At the core of this kit is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, constructed from aircraft-quality billet aluminum and weighing just over 7lbs. It features a differential bore configuration with much larger pistons than ProComp calipers, and includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while the included stainless-steel brake lines resist expansion under pressure. Each SuperComp caliper requires four brake pads due to its size. The kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also mitigates thermal stresses that can lead to disc warping or cupping. The rotors feature a unique slot design that minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Every rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. This specific kit includes cross-drilled rotors, which tend to run cooler and are recommended for daily-driven vehicles. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions with an optimal operating temperature between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads offer reduced brake dust and noise. An optional upgrade to Ksport RC5 Race Pads is available, constructed from carbon metallic material for extreme track conditions with an optimal operating temperature between 482°F – 1472°F; these are not recommended for street use due to their high working temperature. The kit also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines for improved pedal feel and quicker response. Ksport offers a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects.
