The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver superior stopping power for your Volvo V90. This high-performance system utilizes advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads during intense use. At the heart of this kit are the extreme lightweight SuperComp calipers, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum and featuring a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. These calipers weigh just over 7 lbs. each and include protection grooves, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper size, each unit requires four brake pads. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly that reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design mitigates thermal stresses that can warp the disc or cup the braking surface. The unique rotor slot design minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Standard equipment includes heat-treated and balanced rotors. Buyers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily-driven vehicles for cooler operation, or slotted rotors, suited for more track-focused use.
