The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver ultimate stopping power for your BMW E34 5-Series. This advanced braking system integrates new technologies to significantly reduce brake fade, while continuously cooling and refreshing the brake pads during use. Designed for straightforward installation with minimal tools in most applications, the kit includes a 356mm (14-inch) diameter rotor with a 32mm thickness. The heart of this system is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It boasts a differential bore configuration and substantially larger pistons than ProComp calipers, weighing just over 7 lbs each. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, and the stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each SuperComp caliper requires four brake pads due to its larger size. This kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which minimizes both rotating and unsprung weight while preventing thermal stress from warping the disc or cupping the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more effectively than conventional designs. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are included, recommended for daily drivers as they tend to run cooler than slotted rotors. The included Ksport SC5 Street Pads are ceramic, designed for optimal braking performance under street and occasional track conditions, with an average coefficient of friction between 0.46 and 0.53.
