SuperComp Front Big Brake Kit

This kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cools and refreshes the brake pad surface during braking, ensuring consistent performance even under high demand. The kit features Ksport's extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, which is machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum and weighs just over 7 lbs. each. This caliper boasts a differential bore configuration with significantly larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers, along with protection grooves for the bridge tubes. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems. Additionally, stainless steel brake lines are included to prevent expansion under pressure. This SuperComp system utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which effectively reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating design also mitigates thermal stresses that can cause warping or cupping of the braking surface under extreme heat. The unique slot design on the rotor contributes to reduced braking noise and more efficient expulsion of gas and pad debris. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced before shipment for optimal performance. While cross-drilled rotors tend to run cooler and are recommended for daily drivers, slotted rotors like those included in this kit are recommended for vehicles that see more track use than daily driving. This specific kit is designed for the 1996-2000 Honda Civic.
