The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide the ultimate stopping power for your BMW E60 M5. This kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and maintain optimal brake pad performance, even under extreme conditions. The SuperComp caliper is crafted from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, featuring a differential bore configuration and larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7 lbs. each and includes protection grooves, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless steel wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each SuperComp caliper requires four brake pads due to its substantial size. This kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which minimizes rotating and unsprung weight and prevents thermal stress from warping the discs. The unique slot design on the rotor reduces braking noise and effectively expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for peak performance. Cross-drilled rotors are included and recommended for daily-driven vehicles, offering improved cooling. This kit comes standard with Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance in street and occasional track use, with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads reduce dust by over 50% compared to race pads and minimize noise and rotor wear. An option for Ksport RC5 Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions, with optimal operating temperatures between 482°F – 1472°F, though these are not recommended for street use. Key specifications include 400mm diameter rotors with a 36mm thickness, and 8-piston calipers. The rotors are cross-drilled.
