Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit 421mm x 36mm 8-Piston Caliper

The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit represents a significant upgrade in stopping power for the Mercedes-Benz W166 GLE. The SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, featuring a differential bore configuration with significantly larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7 lbs and includes protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to their size, the SuperComp calipers utilize four brake pads per caliper. This kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which decreases both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping. The unique rotor slot design minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are included, offering superior cooling for daily driven vehicles. Ksport offers the SC5 Street Pads as standard, made from NAOC ceramic material, optimized for street and occasional track use with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads and minimize noise and rotor wear. An optional upgrade to RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) is available for extreme track conditions, with optimal temperatures from 482°F – 1472°F.
