SuperComp Front Big Brake Kit

The Ksport SuperComp Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver superior stopping power for your Mercedes Benz W220 S 55 AMG. This front brake system is designed with advanced technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool and refresh the brake pad surface during heavy braking. At the core of the kit is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 billet aluminum. It features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers, weighing just over 7 lbs. each. The caliper design includes protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while the standard stainless steel braided brake lines prevent expansion under pressure and improve pedal feel. The kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping of the braking surface. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Standard on this kit are cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler operating temperatures compared to slotted rotors. For vehicles seeing more track use, slotted rotors are also an option. Included with the kit are Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads and minimize noise and rotor wear. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads are available for extreme track conditions, operating optimally between 482°F – 1472°F and not recommended for street use.
