The kit features Ksport's SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-grade billet aluminum for exceptional strength and lightness, weighing just over 7lbs. This caliper boasts a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than their ProComp models, an opposed piston design that enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, and standard features like high-temperature seals, titanium retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The included stainless-steel brake lines resist expansion under pressure, contributing to improved pedal feel and quicker response. The system includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight while mitigating thermal stresses that can cause disc warping or cupping. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are suggested for track-focused applications. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, described as NAOC ceramic pads optimized for street and occasional track use, offering reduced dust, noise, and rotor wear. An option for Ksport RC5 Race Pads, carbon metallic pads for extreme track conditions, is also available, though not recommended for street use due to their high optimal operating temperature range.
