It features differential bore configurations with significantly larger pistons compared to standard ProComp calipers. Each caliper weighs just over 7 lbs and incorporates protective grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances caliper rigidity and pad wear, while the stainless-steel braided brake lines resist expansion under pressure, providing a firmer pedal feel and quicker response. This system utilizes 356mm x 32mm rotors and comes standard with Ksport SC5 Street Pads, with an option to upgrade to RC5 Race Pads. For optimal performance, Ksport offers various caliper color options, including Ksport Orange, Race Red, Caution Yellow, Jet Black, and Bold Blue, with premium finishes like Lightning Silver, High Silver Polish, High Gold Polish, Titanium, Glassy Green, Glassy Blue, Glassy Orange, Glassy Red, Glassy Black, and Hard Anodized Black available at an additional cost. The SuperComp systems feature a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight, while also mitigating thermal stress to prevent disc warping and cupping. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles due to their tendency to run cooler, while slotted rotors are preferred for track use. All Ksport big brake kits are backed by a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects.
