The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit provides the ultimate in stopping power for your BMW E39 5-Series. The extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum and features much larger pistons than their ProComp series, with a differential bore configuration. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM designs, while the D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines improve pedal feel and response. This kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces rotating and unsprung weight, and prevents thermal stresses from warping the disc. The unique slot design on the rotor expels gas and pad debris faster, and the rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are standard and recommended for daily driven vehicles. The SuperComp kit comes with Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal braking performance under street and occasional track conditions, offering reduced brake dust and noise compared to race pads.
