The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver unparalleled stopping power for your Audi MK2 TT RS. This premium aftermarket braking system integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and ensure consistent pad cooling during demanding driving conditions. At the heart of this kit are the extreme lightweight SuperComp calipers, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. These calipers feature a differential bore configuration with much larger pistons than ProComp calipers, contributing to massive stopping power. Each caliper weighs just over 7 lbs and includes features like machined protection grooves, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design significantly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity, while D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines enhance pedal feel and response by preventing expansion under pressure. Due to the substantial size of the SuperComp calipers, each caliper utilizes four brake pads. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, reducing both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping and surface cupping. The rotors feature a unique slot design that reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. The SuperComp systems come standard with either cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily drivers as they tend to run cooler, or slotted rotors, advised for vehicles with more track use. This specific kit includes 400mm x 36mm rotors. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F – 1022°F. These pads produce 50% less brake dust compared to race pads and reduce noise and rotor wear. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made from carbon metallic, are available for extreme track conditions with an optimal operating temperature of 482°F – 1472°F, though they are not recommended for street use due to their high working temperature.
