The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver superior stopping power for your BMW E46 3-Series. The calipers are forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, featuring a differential bore configuration and larger pistons compared to Ksport's ProComp calipers. They weigh just over 7 lbs each and include features like aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while the included stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. This kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which contributes to reduced rotating and unsprung weight. The floating design helps prevent thermal stresses from warping the disc. The unique slot design on the rotors minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. The SuperComp systems come standard with slotted rotors, recommended for track use, or can be optioned with cross-drilled rotors, which run cooler and are advised for daily drivers. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions, offering reduced dust and noise compared to race pads. An option for Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made from carbon metallic for extreme track conditions, is also available. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, improving pedal feel and response. All Ksport big brake kits are backed by a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects.
