Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver exceptional stopping power for the BMW E46 M3. This kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pad surface during braking. At the core of this system is the lightweight SuperComp caliper, constructed from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers, weighing just over 7 lbs. each. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, four brake pads are standard per caliper. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also mitigates thermal stresses that can cause disc warping or cupping. The rotors feature a unique slot design to reduce noise and improve gas and debris expulsion. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. This specific kit includes 400mm x 36mm cross-drilled rotors. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal braking performance under street and occasional track conditions, offering reduced brake dust and noise. Alternatively, Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made from carbon metallic, are available for extreme track conditions but are not recommended for street use due to their higher operating temperature.
