Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit

This kit integrates advanced brake technology to ensure consistent cooling and refreshing of the brake pad surface during demanding driving conditions. At the core of this kit is the lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It features a differential bore configuration with significantly larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers, weighing just over 7 lbs each and incorporating protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard components include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design significantly enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM setups, while D.O.T. compliant stainless steel braided brake lines are included to prevent expansion under pressure and improve pedal feel. Due to the caliper's substantial size, each caliper uses four brake pads. The braking system also features a 2-piece floating disc assembly, designed to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping. The rotors are cross-drilled, a feature recommended for daily-driven vehicles as it tends to run cooler than slotted rotors. Unique slot designs on the rotor help minimize braking noise and efficiently expel gas and pad debris. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced prior to shipment for optimal performance. This kit comes standard with Ksport SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC ceramic material for optimal performance in street and occasional track conditions, with operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust and noise compared to race pads. For dedicated track use, Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) are available as an optional upgrade, designed for extreme track conditions with optimal operating temperatures between 482°F – 1472°F and not recommended for street use. The kit is made to order, and specific caliper colors and center bell upgrades are available at additional costs.
