The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver ultimate stopping power for your BMW E63 and E64 6-Series. This comprehensive kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously refresh the brake pad surface during braking, ensuring consistent performance. The SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, is exceptionally lightweight, weighing just over 7 lbs. It features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons compared to Ksport's ProComp calipers. Standard components include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM setups, while the included stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure, leading to improved pedal feel and quicker response. This kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping. The rotors come with a unique slot design that reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently. Every rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Buyers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles due to cooler operation, or slotted rotors, ideal for more frequent track use. Standard with the kit are Ksport SC5 Street Pads, constructed with NAOC ceramic material, designed for optimal performance in street and occasional track conditions, with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads offer a 50% reduction in brake dust compared to race pads and minimize noise and rotor wear. Alternatively, Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made from carbon metallic material, are available for extreme track conditions, operating best between 482°F – 1472°F and are not recommended for street use.
