The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit offers enhanced stopping power for your Volkswagen MK5 Golf GTI. This kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and ensure continuous cooling of the brake pads, even under demanding conditions. The SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, featuring differential bore configurations, larger pistons, and a lightweight design (just over 7 lbs). It includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. The kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly that reduces rotating and unsprung weight, while also preventing thermal stress from warping the disc. The rotors have a unique slot design to reduce noise and expel debris, and are available in cross-drilled or slotted options. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal street and occasional track performance with reduced dust and noise. Optional RC5 Race Pads, made from carbon-metallic material, are available for extreme track conditions. This big brake kit is made to order and is non-refundable. The kit fits VW Golf/GTI Mk5 models from 2006-2009 with the 2.0T FSI engine (2006-2008) or the 2.0T TSI engine (2008.5+). Customization options include caliper color, street or race pads, and optional center bell upgrades. Please note that some caliper colors and upgrades may incur additional charges.
