The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver ultimate stopping power for your Mercedes Benz W221 S-Class. This sophisticated bolt-on upgrade features extreme lightweight SuperComp calipers forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, each weighing just over 7lbs. These calipers boast larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp models, a differential bore configuration, and include protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features on each caliper include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design significantly enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper size, four brake pads are standard per caliper. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating disc design prevents thermal stresses from extreme heat from warping the disc or cupping the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more effectively than conventional designs. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced before shipment for optimal performance. This specific kit features 330mm diameter rotors with a 32mm thickness and 4-piston calipers. Ksport offers two pad options: SC5 Street Pads, made from NAOC ceramic, designed for optimal street and occasional track performance with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F, reducing brake dust by 50% or more and minimizing noise and rotor wear. Alternatively, RC5 Race Pads, made from carbon metallic, are designed for extreme track conditions with optimal operation temperatures between 482°F – 1472°F, and are not recommended for street use.
