The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit offers enhanced stopping power for your BMW E90, E91, or E92 3-Series. The SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, weighing just over 7 lbs. each, and features larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. It includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over the OEM setup, and the stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each caliper uses four brake pads due to its larger size. This kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating disc design also mitigates thermal stresses that can warp the disc or cup the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. The Ksport SC5 Street Pads are made from NAOC ceramic and are designed for optimal braking performance on the street and during occasional track use, with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. They reduce brake dust by 50% or more compared to race pads and offer reduced noise and rotor wear. The kit comes standard with these street pads, but an option to upgrade to Ksport RC5 Race Pads is available. RC5 pads are carbon metallic and designed for extreme track conditions with optimal operating temperatures between 482°F – 1472°F, making them not recommended for street use.
