The Ksport SuperComp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide superior stopping power and reduced brake fade for the BMW E30 3-Series. This comprehensive kit features a 380mm diameter, 32mm wide rotor and a robust 6-piston caliper, designed for significant braking performance improvement. Constructed with advanced brake technology, the SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, weighing just over 7 lbs. It incorporates a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than ProComp calipers, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines resist expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper size, four brake pads are standard per caliper. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly designed to reduce rotating and unsprung weight, and to mitigate thermal stresses that can cause warping. The rotors feature a unique slot design to minimize braking noise and expel gas and debris. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are ceramic and offer optimal performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made of carbon metallic, are available for extreme track conditions but are not recommended for street use due to their high operating temperatures. It is compatible with BMW E30 3-Series models from 1984-1991, including the 318i (M10 and M42 engines), 318is (M42 engine), 325e (M20 engine), and 325es (M20 engine).
