The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide maximum stopping power for your Volkswagen MK5 Golf GTI. This kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and ensure continuous cooling and refreshing of the brake pad surface under demanding conditions. The SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, is extremely lightweight and features differential bore configurations with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. It includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, each caliper utilizes four brake pads. The system includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly to reduce rotating and unsprung weight, and to mitigate thermal stresses that can warp the disc. The unique slot design on the rotor helps expel gas and pad debris efficiently, and the rotors are heat-treated and balanced. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler. This kit is made to order and is non-refundable. It is specifically designed for the VW Golf/GTI Mk5 (2006-2009) with either the 2.0T FSI (2006-2008) or 2.0T TSI (2008.5+) engine.
