The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit represents an extreme brake upgrade for your 1997-2004 Chevrolet Cavalier, engineered to deliver superior stopping power with a direct bolt-on installation. This kit builds upon the Procomp line by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased piston count and standard full-floating rotors for enhanced self-centering within the caliper, leading to reduced drag and improved braking performance. Each caliper is crafted from a one-piece billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight construction, exceptional strength, and resistance to corrosion. The calipers utilize aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance and consistent operation. The floating two-piece rotor design allows for slight movement, improving self-centering and further optimizing brake application. Ksport offers extensive customization for caliper finishes, including standard painted colors like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, as well as premium high-polish options in Silver, Gold, and Titanium, plus glassy/hard anodized colors. You can also select from over 20,000 custom color finishes. For rotors, you can choose between slotted and cross-drilled options, with cross-drilled recommended for daily drivers due to better cooling and slotted for track use. The kit includes SC5 Street Pads, which provide optimal performance for street and occasional track use, significantly reducing brake dust, noise, and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range between 194°F - 1022°F. Additionally, D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, offering a quicker pedal response and firmer feel by preventing line expansion under pressure.
