The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is Ksport's most extreme brake upgrade, engineered to deliver superior stopping power for the Mercedes Benz CLK models from 1998 to 2002 (C208 chassis, including 200, 230, 320, and AMG variants). This sophisticated, bolt-on system integrates advanced brake technology, featuring larger calipers, rotors, and pads than their Procomp line, along with increased piston count and standard full-floating rotors for optimal self-centering and reduced drag. Construction highlights include lightweight forged one-piece calipers made from solid billets of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring unparalleled strength and corrosion resistance. The calipers also utilize aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat management. The floating two-piece rotor design allows the outer section to shift slightly, further enhancing self-centering and ensuring more even pad application. This kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, formulated for optimal braking performance in street and occasional track conditions. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust (50% or more), noise, and rotor wear compared to race pads, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F to 1022°F. Additionally, D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, which prevent line expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel over stock rubber lines. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors, with slotted recommended for track use and cross-drilled for daily drivers due to better cooling.
