At the core of this kit are the extreme lightweight SuperComp calipers, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. These calipers feature a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp series, offering enhanced pad wear and caliper rigidity. They are equipped with aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless steel wear plates. Each SuperComp caliper utilizes four brake pads due to their substantial size, and the included stainless steel brake lines resist expansion under pressure for improved pedal feel and response. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which minimizes both rotating and unsprung weight while preventing thermal stresses from warping the disc. The rotors feature a unique slot design to reduce braking noise and expel gas and debris more effectively. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are suggested for track-focused applications. This specific kit includes 400x36mm rotors. Ksport offers a choice between SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance on the street and occasional track use, and RC5 Race Pads, which provide maximum stopping power under extreme track conditions.
