Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit represents an extreme brake upgrade for the rear of your Mitsubishi EVO 8 (2003-2005) and EVO 9 (2006-2007). Designed as a sophisticated bolt-on solution, this kit provides the highest level of stopping power without requiring modifications to your vehicle. It builds upon the Procomp kit with larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased number of pistons for enhanced performance. Standard full-floating rotors are included to ensure better self-centering within the caliper, reducing brake drag and improving application. The calipers themselves are forged from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, creating a lightweight, one-piece construction that offers unparalleled strength and resistance to corrosion. The kit includes CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets that allow the larger Ksport calipers to bolt directly into the OEM caliper bracket locations. Standard on all Supercomp systems are floating two-piece rotors, which allow the outer section to shift slightly for better self-centering and more even application. This kit comes standard with NAOC Ceramic SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street use and occasional track conditions. These pads significantly reduce brake dust and noise compared to race pads, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F to 1022°F. Additionally, DOT compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, which eliminate line expansion under pressure, resulting in quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled are recommended for daily drivers due to better cooling, while slotted rotors are suggested for track use. The standard kit includes two forged monoblock aluminum calipers, two lightweight two-piece rotors (slotted or drilled), one set of SC5 Street Brake Pads, two stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting components and hardware. Ksport offers a wide array of caliper color options, including standard painted finishes like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, as well as premium high-polish finishes and custom anodized colors.
