Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade in stopping power and performance for the Audi 8P A3 Sportback (2008-2012, 2WD). This kit integrates advanced brake technology to reduce brake fade and actively cool the brake pads during operation, ensuring consistent performance even under demanding conditions. The SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, featuring differential bore configurations with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7 lbs and includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems, while the stainless steel braided brake lines improve pedal feel and response by minimizing line expansion under pressure. Each caliper in this series requires four brake pads. This kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating design also mitigates thermal stresses that can cause disc warping or cupping. The rotors feature a unique slot design to reduce braking noise and expel gases and pad debris efficiently. The SuperComp systems come standard with heat-treated and balanced rotors. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. This specific kit features 400mm x 36mm cross-drilled rotors. Ksport offers optional SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions, and RC5 Race Pads, made for extreme track use with carbon metallic compounds.
