The Ksport Supercomp Mazda RX-8 Rear Big Brake System represents an extreme upgrade, engineered for maximum stopping power without requiring vehicle modifications. This sophisticated, bolt-on kit builds upon the benefits of Ksport's Procomp line, incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors for improved self-centering within the caliper. Each caliper is precision-machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet incredibly strong and corrosion-free component. The calipers feature aluminum pistons for superior heat resistance and uncompromised operation, even under demanding conditions. High-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates are standard. The opposed-piston design promotes consistent brake pad wear and grip on both sides of the rotor. The system utilizes two-piece rotors, available in either slotted or cross-drilled options, to provide lightweight, fade-free performance and effective grip. The two-piece design allows the outer rotor section to expand and contract independently, minimizing warping from heat buildup. Center sections crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum act as heat sinks, dissipating heat efficiently and extending rotor service life. Included in the standard kit are forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, lightweight two-piece rotors (slotted or drilled), a set of SC5 street brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting components and hardware. Ksport Big Brake kits come with a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects.
