This sophisticated bolt-on system offers enhanced performance over the Procomp kit, featuring larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with increased piston count and standard full-floating rotors for superior self-centering within the caliper. The calipers are precision-machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet incredibly strong and corrosion-resistant component. These calipers utilize aluminum pistons, which offer improved heat resistance and maintain uncompromised operation under demanding conditions. The standard two-piece floating rotor design allows for slight outer section shifts, improving caliper self-centering, reducing brake drag, and enhancing overall performance through more consistent pad application. Included in the kit are SC5 Street Brake Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street driving and occasional track use. These pads are designed to reduce brake dust by at least 50% and minimize noise and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range between 194°F and 1022°F. DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, preventing line expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers due to their cooler running temperatures, while slotted rotors are preferred for more frequent track use.
