The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit offers a substantial upgrade in stopping performance for your BMW E82 1-Series. This kit integrates advanced brake technology to provide superior fade resistance and ensures the brake pads are continuously cooled and refreshed during aggressive braking. The extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum and features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7lbs each and includes protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over the OEM setup, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. This kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating disc design mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or surface cupping. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. These rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. The SuperComp systems come standard with Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are ceramic pads designed for optimal street and occasional track performance with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. They reduce brake dust by over 50% and minimize noise and rotor wear compared to race pads.
