The KSport SuperComp Rear Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade in stopping power for your Porsche 9Y0 Cayenne. This kit integrates advanced brake technology to reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads during use. The SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7 lbs and includes protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while the included stainless steel brake lines ensure consistent pedal feel by preventing expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, four brake pads are standard per caliper. This kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly that reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating disc design prevents thermal stresses from causing disc warpage or cupping. Its unique slot design minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are standard, recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler than slotted options. Standard with the kit are Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance in street and occasional track conditions, with operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads reduce brake dust by over 50% and minimize noise and rotor wear compared to race pads, with an average coefficient of friction between 0.46 and 0.53.
