The Ksport Supercomp Saab 9-3 Rear Big Brake System is an extreme brake upgrade engineered to deliver the highest level of stopping power, designed as a direct bolt-on solution that requires no vehicle modifications. This sophisticated system builds upon the Procomp kit with larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, featuring an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors for optimal self-centering within the caliper. The calipers themselves are one-piece forged from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight construction, unparalleled strength, and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are utilized for superior heat resistance, maintaining uncompromised operation even under demanding conditions. The lightweight center sections, crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reduce rotational mass for quicker response. This design also minimizes the risk of warping due to heat buildup, as the outer rotor section can expand and contract independently. The aluminum center sections act as effective heat sinks, dissipating heat faster. Customers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles due to cooler operation, or slotted rotors, advised for track use to help clear away heat, dust, and gases. Further enhancing performance, the system includes high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed-piston caliper design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear. The included SC5 Street Brake Pads are ceramic and offer optimal braking performance for street use with occasional track conditions, reducing dust by over 50% compared to race pads. An optional upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions, though these are not recommended for street use. The kit is completed with D.O.T compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. A 12-month limited warranty covers manufacturer defects.
