This sophisticated bolt-on brake upgrade features larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads compared to standard kits, along with increased piston size and standard full-floating rotors for enhanced self-centering within the caliper. The SuperComp caliper itself is a forged one-piece construction from aerospace-quality aluminum, offering exceptional strength, light weight (just over 7 lbs each), and corrosion resistance. It incorporates aluminum pistons for better heat resistance and features machined protection grooves for bridge tubes. The opposed piston caliper design significantly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems. All Ksport Big Brake kits include CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets to ensure a direct bolt-on fit to your OEM caliper bracket location. Additionally, DOT compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, which prevent expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel. This kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly, reducing both rotating and unsprung weight, and preventing thermal stresses from warping the disc or affecting the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor helps reduce braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Buyers can choose between slotted rotors, recommended for track use, or cross-drilled rotors, which run cooler and are recommended for daily driving.
