SuperComp Series Big Brake Kit

This kit features Ksport's extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, a forged monoblock aluminum component weighing just over 7 lbs. It boasts larger pistons and a differential bore configuration compared to ProComp calipers, enhancing braking performance. The opposed piston design significantly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while stainless steel brake lines ensure consistent performance by preventing expansion under pressure. This kit incorporates a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which is crucial for reducing both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating design also mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping and surface cupping. The unique slot design on the rotors reduces braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. For this specific kit (BKFD130-961CO), the rotors are cross-drilled, which tends to run cooler and is recommended for daily driven vehicles. Every rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. The SuperComp systems are specifically designed for the 1999-2002 Mercury Cougar.
