Supercore 2.5-Inch Intercooler Core

The ZZP Supercore 2.5" Intercooler Core represents over two decades of research and development on the 3800/W-Body platform, offering an ultimate solution for intercooling. This core is 0.25 inches thicker than previous full stack designs, with a corresponding 0.25-inch increase in total height, which may require significant modifications for hood clearance. Buyers are advised to research or test their setup to ensure fitment. This updated design boasts a 20% denser core, optimized for actual airflow paths, and features straight-through PCV passages. This revision allows for the reuse of the stock lower intake manifold, maintaining factory PCV function without requiring an intake manifold swap. Internally, the core is sealed with o-rings and machined o-ring passages, replacing the previous RTV sealing method. It is also 0.75 pounds lighter than the previous Stage 2 core and features 0.75-inch nipples for increased water flow, an upgrade from the previous 5/8-inch nipples. ZZPerformance, a leader in intercooler technology with a dedicated supercharger dyno for extensive testing, guarantees performance with this product. For installation on 2004+ Supercharged Grand Prix models, ZZPerformance recommends using their Alternator relocation brackets, cradle spacers, and inlet turn down adapter (drive by wire only) for enhanced hood clearance. 2004+ Monte Carlos and Impalas also require the Alternator relocation brackets. Note that gaskets must be purchased separately. This Supercore 2.5" Intercooler Core is designed as a replacement component for the ZZP Supercore 2.5in System but can also be used for custom applications or to upgrade smaller intercooler systems. For Gen 5 M90 superchargers, the throttle body inlet is positioned higher, potentially causing clearance issues; customers with these superchargers should email ZZP for clarification.
