Superstock Clutch Kit

The Dodson Motorsport DMS-8534 is a Superstock™ clutch kit engineered for 8HP51 transmissions, offering a significant upgrade for vehicles experiencing clutch slip due to engine modifications or increased turbo power. Constructed with high-performance friction material and precision-manufactured steel discs, this kit includes enhanced plate counts for specific clutches: Clutch C and E each feature 9 plates, a substantial increase over standard configurations, while Clutch D also sees an increased plate count. To mitigate potential downsides associated with higher plate counts, such as increased hub chatter, separator springs are integrated into the C&E clutches. These springs aim to reduce drag and improve crossover performance, leading to smoother operation, fewer learning attempts by the transmission, and more refined take-off behavior. The kit is rated for up to 900HP, with a torque capacity of 650/700 ft-lbs. Note that an upgrade to the E hub is required for applications exceeding 750HP. The DMS-8534 is designed for straightforward installation, requiring no core exchange and minimizing vehicle downtime. This Superstock Stage 1 Clutch Kit is compatible with the Toyota Supra (A90, A91), BMW 3 Series (G20), Jaguar XE 20d RWD (2019+), and BMW Z4 (G29).
