They are claimed to withstand up to 42psi of boost with alcohol fuel. The manufacturing involves a two or three-step forging process, followed by CNC machining and multiple heat treatments for high tensile strength and even hardness. Features include contact reduction grooves, precisely honed and reamed pin bores, and cold-extruded chrome moly steel wrist pins secured with wire clip locks. A 'phosphate dry lubricant' coating protects rings against micro-welding and enhances skirt/cylinder lubrication.
