The Supertech TIVN-1031 is an intake valve made from a single piece of forged stainless steel for enhanced strength and durability. It undergoes a special heat treatment to achieve optimal hardness for performance engines. Supertech offers this valve with a hardened black nitrided finish, popular for European and Japanese motors.

This high-performance race engine valve features a microhardness of at least 800HV minimum, providing good ductility beneath a hard nitrided layer. Its smoother surface finish results in less friction between the stem and guide. The valve seat surface is harder, ensuring longer life with various fuels and seat materials. For higher RPM engines, the black nitride layer minimizes power loss due to reduced valve-guide friction.
