Supertech intake valves are made exclusively from an enhanced version of EV8 (21-4N) steel, which is the highest grade of steel available, providing strength to withstand various applications. These valves feature a back-cut angle and undercut stem, are one-piece forged (non-magnetic), and have a magnetic friction welded wafer hardened to 52 HRC minimum. They are treated with Black Nitride for superior hardness while maintaining core ductility. The "Superfinish" valve stem has a surface roughness of about 1/3 of a regular valve, leading to less friction, better flow rates, and improved sealing. This also enhances durability and reduces carbon build-up. These valves are designed to increase airflow and performance, especially when used with upgraded valve springs and valve stem seals.
