Supertech VW 1.8T 20V 83mm (+2) CH 32.7mm -4.5cc Dish 9.6:1 CR Piston - Single (Excl Rings)

Supertech Pistons are manufactured from extruded high silicone, enhanced 4032 alloy (with additional Cu, Ni & Mg) that has low thermal expansion, excellent wear resistance, and higher thermal conductivity. These pistons have withstood up to 42psi of boost with alcohol. A two or three-step forging process yields a fine structural grain, followed by machining on state-of-the-art CNC machines. Several heat treatments ensure high tensile strength and evenly distributed hardness. Standard features include contact reduction grooves, honed and reamed pin bores for precise fit, and cold extruded chrome moly steel wrist pins for high strength, secured with wire clip locks. The pistons receive a 'phosphate dry lubricant' coating to protect rings against 'micro-welding' and enhance lubrication on the skirt/cylinder area. For Turbo/Nitrous Applications.
