These springs are designed to lower the vehicle's height by 1 to 1 1/4 inches, significantly reducing body roll and pitching during braking. This improved stability contributes to more efficient braking and a more planted feel. The spring rate increase works to redistribute tire load more evenly, providing additional traction to the rear tires, which can further reduce braking distances. Furthermore, the enhanced spring rate sharpens handling and steering response by minimizing body roll, keeping suspension geometry within optimal parameters for a larger tire contact patch. This results in improved cornering capabilities and a more neutral handling platform, reducing inherent understeer. Steeda is renowned for maintaining excellent ride quality even with performance enhancements, providing a balance of sportiness and comfort. The front spring rates range from 145 lbs up to 225 lbs. These Steeda Sport Springs are specifically designed for Ford Mustang models from 1979 through 2004, including those with 4.6L and 5.0L engines.
