The Blue Ox BXW0553 SwayPro Weight Distributing Hitch is designed for trailers with underslung couplers, offering a 7-hole/9″ receiver stinger and a 550 lbs tongue weight rating with a 5500 lbs maximum gross towing weight. This system ensures even weight distribution across tow vehicle and trailer axles, featuring a 4-point sway prevention system and unique hitch head pitch angle with spring steel bars. Its design allows for quick setup with rotating latches and clamp-on brackets, and it prevents overloading while allowing backing up without removal, eliminating noise during turns. The low-profile bracket is compatible with most A-frame accessories, battery compartments, and LP bottles. The spring steel bars provide a smooth ride, activate sway control, and are self-locking without pins or clips. No head angle adjustment, serrated washers, cams, or shims are needed, as the hitch head has trapped grease and is pre-adjusted.
