The VETUS STE7512D is a retractable electric thruster for bow and stern, improving boat maneuverability for shallow draft vessels and sailboats. Built on the VETUS DC thruster platform, it features a robust swing mechanism with minimal moving parts, pivoting on a permanently lubricated bearing. The propeller revolves in a short duct, creating focused flow and minimizing energy loss. The retractable design includes a seamless bottom plate that attaches directly to the propeller duct, reducing drag. It automatically deploys and retracts when the control panel is deactivated or after fifteen minutes of disuse. It incorporates electronic safeguards against overloads and jamming, and a 1.5-second delay between direction changes. Connectivity is via V-CAN digital signals for easy integration and future upgrades. Engineered for straightforward installation and compatibility with V-CAN cables.
