The OBDLink SX USB is an easy-to-use, lightning-fast USB OBD adapter that transforms your Windows PC or Android device into a sophisticated diagnostic scan tool, trip computer, and real-time performance monitor. It supports all legislated OBD-II protocols, including ISO 15765-4 (CAN), ISO 14230-4 (Keyword Protocol 2000), ISO 9141-2, J1850 VPW, and J1850 PWM, ensuring compatibility with all 1996 and newer cars and light trucks sold in the United States, as well as EOBD, JOBD, and other international variants. This adapter features a plug-and-play design and includes the OBDWiz diagnostic software for Windows, allowing you to turn off the check engine light, read and erase trouble codes, access freeze frame data, display and log over 90 real-time parameters, create custom dashboards, and measure fuel economy. It boasts a large CAN memory buffer, a smart keep-alive algorithm, and BatterySaver™ Technology for low power mode. The device operates on 8-18V DC and includes overvoltage protection up to 100V, with an operating current of 8 mA. It's important to note that the OBDLink SX does not support proprietary Ford MS-CAN and GM SW-CAN vehicle networks; for those, an OBDLink MX+ or similar adapter is recommended. Additionally, while it supports Android devices, a USB OTG cable is required and not included. Apple/iOS devices are not supported.
