This advanced formulation offers outstanding protection for gears and bearings operating under severe conditions, ensuring longevity and reliability. With a very low pour point and a naturally high viscosity index (VI), the Mobil SHC PM Series facilitates good low-temperature start-up while maintaining excellent viscosity characteristics at very high temperatures. The fluids are highly shear stable, retaining viscosity control even under the severe mechanical stress found in heavily loaded bearings and gears. Its low traction coefficient and high VI can contribute to reduced energy consumption and lower component operating temperatures. Developed using the latest Mobil SHC technology, these oils utilize select base oils known for their exceptional thermal and oxidative resistance, combined with a balanced additive system. This allows for operation with higher steam pressures, temperatures, and machine speeds common in high-output paper machines and calendar rolls. Furthermore, the fluids exhibit outstanding hydrolytic stability and filterability, ensuring excellent performance in the presence of water and maintaining effective filtration even at very fine levels. They readily separate water and retain their color characteristics over extended operational periods under severe conditions.
