It is formulated using highly refined base stocks and a specialized additive system to deliver exceptional chemical and thermal stability. This formulation ensures rapid and complete separation from water and a high resistance to emulsification. This circulating oil provides robust protection against rust and corrosion, including resistance to saltwater, and exhibits strong antiwear characteristics. Its high viscosity index minimizes film thickness variations with temperature changes and reduces power loss during the warm-up period. Furthermore, the Mobil DTE Oil Medium offers excellent air release properties, allowing entrained air to separate quickly and preventing pump cavitation and operational inconsistencies. Recognized for its long service life, excellent equipment protection, and versatility, the Mobil DTE Oil Named Series is a preferred choice for numerous industrial applications. This particular grade is widely used in steam and hydroturbines with various lubrication arrangements, as well as in continuous circulation systems involving pumps, valves, and ancillary equipment. It is also recommended for continuous service in lubricating plain and rolling bearings and parallel shaft gearing. Additionally, it has proven effective in rotary air compressor applications, reciprocating natural gas compressors, and vacuum pumps.
