The Mobil Mobilux EP Grease family comprises high-performance, general-purpose industrial greases formulated with lithium hydroxystearate to provide exceptional protection against wear, rusting, and water washout. Available in various NLGI grades from 00 to 3, with base oil viscosities of ISO VG 150 and 320, Mobilux EP greases offer excellent equipment reliability and availability through reduced wear under heavy or shock loading and vibration. Their formulation ensures protection against rust and corrosion, maintaining good lubrication even in the presence of water, which extends bearing life potential and minimizes unanticipated downtime. Specifically, Mobilux EP 0 and 1 are recommended for their good low-temperature pumpability, making them suitable for centralized lubrication systems. Mobilux EP 2 and 3 are versatile general-purpose greases. The recommended operating temperature range for most Mobilux EP greases is -20°C to 130°C, though higher temperatures can be managed with increased lubrication frequency. For applications requiring effective leakage control, such as in poorly sealed gear cases, Mobilux EP 004 and Mobilux EP 023 are specialized semi-fluid greases designed for enclosed gears and bearings, with a recommended operating temperature range of -20°C to 120°C.
