This kit includes pulleys for the water pump, power steering pump, and alternator, along with a new extended-length belt. It is constructed from T-6061 aluminum with a durable black hard-anodized finish.

By slowing the rotation of the water pump, power steering pump, and alternator, this kit redirects power back to the engine, resulting in increased performance. The system provides a 10-20% reduction in accessory rotation, releasing up to 11hp on most BMW six-cylinder engines and offering a noticeable improvement in throttle response. Constructed from robust T-6061 aluminum and finished with a wear-resistant black hard anodize, these pulleys are designed to be stronger and lighter than stock components. The alternator pulley, for instance, is less than half the weight of the original steel part, ensuring long-term durability and reliability. The kit includes a new extended-length belt, and professional installation is estimated to take approximately 1.5 hours, with fan removal required for access. This kit offers options for both Bosch and Valeo alternators, as the pulleys differ between the two brands. Additionally, it is tested for compatibility with factory premium stereo systems like Harmon Kardon. For vehicles with significant stereo system upgrades or other critical charging modifications, a 2-pulley kit (excluding the alternator pulley) is recommended to ensure adequate power for these systems. However, for stock stereo systems, the full 3-piece kit is advised to maximize the benefits of the lighter, higher-power alternator pulley. This underdrive pulley kit is specifically designed for the 1999-2000 E39 BMW 528i.
